William V. Sherer is the retired business manager of Ironworkers Local 550 where he served an officer since 1981 and was a member since 1963. As an active member of the Stark County Community, he currently serves as:

• Secretary of the Stark County Port Authority
  
• Serves on the Mayor's Income Tax Review Committee for the City of Canton
  
• Member of Leadership Stark County

Bill and his wife, Sue, reside in the city of Canton.
